Good morning beautiful people 💜
This morning I am reflecting on dharma.
For the longest time I just thought that was the name of the pretty girl in a sitcom. 😂
Through learning of the spiritual laws of success this year, I come to realize that it’s a long standing concept, that even though I didn’t know what it was called, I have wholeheartedly believed in since I was a child.
It in fact is one of my core beliefs.

I am always telling my kids to find their dharma, and I myself seem to be continually searching for mine. It can be more than just one thing too!
Although I had no idea it had a name, the idea of dharma, I have been searching for all my life. I always felt I had a calling of some sort, but I never really had it come and smack me in the face. I felt like I was always kinda on to something, but not really sure.
I know I am on the right track when I get that feeling. You know that feeling you get when you step into the forest that first few strides. Not the ‘omg a bear is in here’ feeling, but the one that feels like home. The masses of weight lifts off your shoulders, your chest feels more open with the lightness of the fresh, forest air, and peacefulness starts to settle in.

When I feel that same feeling as I am doing common things, or partaking in everyday life, I know that I am hot on dharmas heels!! I have noticed when I am serving humanity, or taking care of my family, I get these feelings. Not all the time, but in the quiet moments, whenever those decide to come by.
The more I pay attention to it, the more often it comes. I find if I sit and meditate, or really just put my full focus on savouring the moment or using all my strength to pay attention to that point in time (like intentional listening, feeling the vibrations in the room, noticing any faint scent to the air, or comparing the contrast of colours) it really enhances my awareness.
This enhanced awareness is the best!! If you have never felt this way, I know where you come from. I was there for a long time, but you can experience this!! And the best part, is you can experience anytime, anywhere!!

Meditation sounds overwhelming to the people who have not participated in this practice before. But its super easy. It is truly your natural state. It’s just being…you need no thoughts, you need no action, you need no lists. Just sit, or lie down. No tv, no radio, no phones. Let the earth take full support of your body and just relent. Let go.
At first this feels totally weird! Our society has us running around like crazy, over programmed people almost 24-7. And you have to remember that to be so ‘on’ all the time is not what we are meant to do. We need these times of ‘letting go’ to help our bodies heal themselves and regenerate. You will finish feeling more rested, it will now be easier to concentrate and focus on things. You will feel more in tune with everything around you.
My initial experience was like I had be travelling through a dense fog, and now the fog had lifted and everything was easier. Lighter. Clearer. My dharmas seemed to start coming to me with more ease. My eyes opened to new ideas, creative solutions for problems and just an overall sense of new found freedom. It was mind-blowing!!
I’m interested in hearing all your stories about finding quiet, meditation and seeking out your own personal dharmas. Drop some comments below, your experience might be the eye opener for someone else who is searching!
