Mother Nature Shows Us The Way
Sunrises and sunsets always serve to reinstate feelings of new beginnings, even at the end of the day.
It’s a good reminder that everything we experience in life is temporary, we may have the occasional bad minutes, we may have bad hours, we may have bad days, bad months or maybe even a bad year, but usually things will pass with time.
I’ve learned that with renewed sense of optimism and faith that the universe or God will take care of us, and direct us down the path that we are supposed to be on, usually makes those times that are so difficult in our life, not only easier to navigate but also shorter in duration.
As we’re starting a new year we can begin 2025 by introducing some new optimistic viewpoints, and giving ourselves grace on the days when we are not feeling particularly productive, nor that we have advanced as far as we would like to go so far.
It’s important to remember that steps are always needed to be taken by us in order to change our lives. Even small steps, even baby steps, but steps nonetheless.
If we just sit around and watch the world go by, lamenting and hoping that life will change for us, in whatever direction we desire, we will be sadly disappointed.
However, if we take small steps every day towards what we need to do to accomplish even something small, then we are on our way, with some progress.
At the beginning of each year, I like to sit down and come up with a couple of ideas of things I’d like to see myself accomplish in the next month, and then in 6 months, and also in the next year. Then start looking at things that might correlate together with steps that I might be able to take that might achieve all of those different goals.
A simple journal page like this works!
Sometimes they match up, sometimes they’re entirely different, but if you take note of what it is that you need to do, or what you want to see yourself do, even if your attained outcome is not exactly how you imagined it, even if what you have set out to do has not come to fruition, you can consider it a fail. Result= you have gone in a direction of some sort, and you will learn from those experiences.
If you sit around waiting for things to happen to you, and you don’t try you don’t succeed, you don’t fail, thus you don’t learn.
You don’t learn anything about you yourself, about your situation, or what kind of goals are really actually important to you.
It will be another year wasted. An opportunity not seized.
Let’s all aim for a joy-filled year of taking steps to fulfill our wildest dreams! Let’s look at those sunrises and sunsets as our cues to ‘sieze the day’!
